This is a noninterest-bearing account with unlimited transactions. Statements will be mailed monthly according to cycle date chosen by bank. You will receive check images monthly.

A $100.00 initial deposit is required to open the account. Minimum balance fee is as follows:

The average daily balance for a month (statement cycle of at least 4 weeks) will determine the minimum balance fee. The average daily balance is calculated by adding the balance in the account for each day of the monthly statement cycle and dividing that figure by the number of days in the monthly statement cycle.

This account can only be used by individuals for personal use and sole proprietorships. Corporations, partnerships, associations, estates, business trusts or other juridical entities are not eligible by Federal Regulation.

Check images and statements will be mailed quarterly on the calendar quarter, unless your account has ACH activity. In that case, you will receive a statement monthly.

Minimum Balance Requirements

The minimum balance required to open this account is $2,500.00.  If your balance falls below $2,500.00 on any day in a month, your account will be subject to a $10.00 Minimum Balance Fee for that month.

*Maximum Allowable Withdrawals

No more than six transfers and/or withdrawals per calendar month are allowed. A $5.00 Withdrawal Fee will be assessed for each withdrawal after the six.

The monthly fee for Hometown Checking is $7.95. If you take the Family Plan, the fee is $9.95 per month. Discount available for accounts utilizing E-Statements.

Accidental Death Insurance is offered through the insurance company named on the Certificate of Insurance. Coverage is divided equally among owners of joint accounts. The 24-Hour Accidental Death Insurance benefit reduces by half at age 70. See insurance contract for additional information.
